Abstract

|
In incomplete anterior interosseous nerve paralysis, flexor pollicis longus is often the only muscle affected. Incomplete anterior interosseous nerve paralysis and closed injury of flexor pollicis longus tendon are conditions which mimic each other closely and have been mistaken for each other, leading to unnecessary surgery. To avoid this error, a baseline EMG and a conduction velocity study should be performed.
